Together with Evolution21, a furniture designer and manufacturer, we digitized their sofa modules and optimized them for use in other 3D applications, with realistic details and creases in the cushions thanks to physics simulations.
The materials of these models were later added by an outside party.
Evolution21, an expert in modular furniture elements and materials, came to us with a request to digitize and optimize their various sofa modules for use in other 3D applications.
We started working out the sofa modules in blender3D, applying surface modeling and non-destructive modifiers to create the most realistic result.
We then applied physics simulations, such as cloth and internal pressure, to the cushions of the sofa modules. As a result, the cushions fall onto the sofa in a realistic way and acquire natural creases and deformations.
To ensure that the models would be suitable for other 3D applications, we optimized them and exported them in the small but versatile FBX format.
Film props with complex finishing, technical prototypes, creative branding, corporate gifts, personalized items, proprietary 3D designs and more.
